Map of (insert character’s name) – Characterization Maps

I saw this graphic online and thought, “There must be a way I can use this as a part of a characterization/understanding characters lesson!”  Students brainstorm (maybe use Wordle/Tagxedo/WordSift*) to think about the attitudes, motivations, decisions, personality of a character. Students can create character maps–an island heart shape (like the one below), Tolkeinesque map etc. to represent the attitudes, motivations, personality or decisions the character makes.
